One of the true natural experiences in Guatemala, can be obtain when you navegate the Rio Dulce. Rio Dulce is one of the widest rivers in Guatemala and its waters go to the Caribbean sea. Rio Dulce village is where all begins because that is where The Rio Dulce bridge, which is one of the largest in Central America. In Rio Dulce, the contact with water, nature and flora and fauna begins. Rio Dulce has hotels and restaurants of every category, Starting from Rio Dulce, it is possible to get a boat to guide you to San Felipe de Lara Fort, which was built in the XVI century to protect against pirates and bucaneeers. It is possible to reach severeal islands like the island of Pajaros, the Ninfas, Aguas Azufradas and El Golfete where the the waters of the river reach the Caribbean sea. Furthermore, it is posible to reach areas like Muro de los Recuerdos, La Peña de la Vaca, la Zona de los Pelícanos y Livingston.
