Antigua Guatemala is considered as the main international destination to learn Spanish. The Spanish schools in Antigua Guatemala, are considered as some of the best of Iberoamerica. Some of the advantages Antigua Guatemala has compared to other schools ands countries are; its weather, the city itself, the history, culture and also there is one teacher for every student. There are around 40 different Spanish schools in Antigua Guatemala. Some of the institutions that have chosen Antigua Guatemala as their Spanish school are The Washington Post, Harvard University, The World Bank, European Embassies, The U.S. Coast Guard and even the Central Intelligence Agency. According to statistics, during a busy season, there are around 3,500 students in the different Spanish Schools. The big difference between the Spanish Schools in Antigua Guatemala and the schools in other countries is that the students get individual attention from their teachers. Also these schools, charge good prices and they include where to stay, activities and transportation. According to some of the students, one of the main reasons to study Spanish in Antigua Guatemala is that the Guatemalan accent is neutral and it can be understood in all the Spanish speaking countries.
