Sources involved with the turism industry in Atitlan are happy to report that turists are starting to come back to the area. From their numbers, it can be said that the turism industry in Atitlan is up to 70%. The Atitlan area was affected badly by hurricane Stan. Let’s hope that with the increase of turists in the area, it can recover quicker from the devastation caused by Stan.
