Estimate of damages

According to information provided by different organizations, the damage caused by huracan Stan in Guatemala reached up to 8,000 million dollars. These estimates cover things like infraestructure, agriculture, etc. Considering that Stan affected the south of Guatemala in a vast scale, these losses provide a huge impact in the economy of Guatemala. Industries like cattle, sugar cane, bananas, etc were affected by this. There was also a lot of damages to roads, highways and buildings. According to this organizations, Guatemala was the country most affected by this hurricane because the losses it left are almost simmilar to the ones provided by hurricane Mitch. It took a month, for the aerial bridge from Quetzaltenango to end. This bridge was in effect to bring help to the affected zones where there was no other way of getting there.
