Wajxaqib Nob

Wajxaqib Nob is a site located in the village of Xatinap V in Santa Cruz del Quiche. This site has just been declared sacred by different leaders of the different maya gruops of Guatemala. This site was discovered three years ago by the owner of the land. In this site, have been found different stones, jade and ceramic. It is thought that this site, dates from the Pre-classic maya period. The different leaders have made different altars and it is just to be used to pay homage to the different mayan deities. There are still a lot of people that follow the mayan beliefs in Guatemala. Apparently, everybody can go to this site. The most important thing is that the owner of the land gave it away for the site to be built.
